SALT LAMPS
Where is the best
place to put my salt lamp?
The Himalayan
Salt Lamps are ideal in just about any location, either at home or in
the office.
The lamps are great around personal computer workstations or office desks,
in your bedroom, or lounge.
Restaurant, coffee shops and bar owners have used salt lamps to help clean
the air and also to create that lovely, soft lighting, enhancing the surroundings.
In fact, the Himalayan Salt Lamps can be used in any room where the air
needs to be cleaned or odour controlled, such as in smoking ares, kitchen
areas and laundry rooms for example.
However, if there is little or no moisture in the air, small salt crystals
are largely ineffective at producing negative ions, while areas such as
outdoors, bathrooms, spas etc have too much humidity and the salt crystals
can dissolve rapidly when exposed to high humidity levels above 60 percent.
The lamps will last indefinitely as long as they
Do the lamps
come in different sizes?
Yes. The
lamps come in a range of sizes from 1.5 kg going right up to 25-40kg,
so there’s a huge range to choose from.:
Are the salt lamps
safe?
The lamps
use only UL approved parts and are as safe as any low wattage lamp in
your home. However, as they are electrical appliances that are powered
by your home’s electrical current, you should always take the same
precautions you would take with any electrical appliance.
How do I take care
of my salt lamp?
Our lamps
are designed for use in most rooms of your house and at work or the office.
They are to be used indoors only, and are not effective on areas where
there is excess humidity such as the bathroom or sauna.
Do the salt lamps
generate negative ions if they are not turned on?
No. Researchers
have found that when the salt crystals are heated slightly it generates
negative ions. So your lamp will only generate negative ions when its
warmed by the light.
